Jay Z Aftershave & Men's Fragrance

Shawn Corey Carter (better known as Jay Z) was born 4th December 1969 in Brooklyn, New York. He is one of the most popular rappers in the world, but by sold records and by net worth (nearly $520 million in 2014). Jay Z is married to the famous singer Beyoncé and together they have a daughter called Blue Ivy Carter.

In 1996 Jay Z released his first album Reasonable Doubt with the follow up album only coming one year later called My Lifetime, Vol1, which was produced by Sean Combs (Puff Daddy). This album Jay Z explains as being a life revelation, with most of the album being about the loss of his good friend rapper The Notorious B.I.G who got killed in a shooting.

Jay Z released one of his most famous singles ever, Hard Knock Life, in 1998 and has since then been an permanent part of the hip hop scene. In 2003, 8 albums in to his carrier, Jay-Z publicly announced that he would retire from making any studio albums and concentrate on making side projects and collaborations.

The retirement didn't last long, it only took Jay Z 3 years to release his next album called
Kingdom Come. In newer time Jay Z is best known for his collab album Watch the Throne
with the rapper Kanye West the was released in 2011.

Jay Z is know for much more than just music. He is the founder, co founder and owner of various record labels, the co-owner of the fashion brand Rocawear and night clubs 40/40 Club. He is also very interested in sports, being the co-owner of the NBA team Brooklyn Nets and is certified NBA and MLB sports agent.

Beside sports and clothes Jay Z released his first fragrance for men in 2013 called Gold. Even though the aftershave was made with one of the best “noses” in the business Ilias Ermenidis, the launch hasn't been without drama. Jay Z was accused of not caring enough about the advertising side of the product and was sued by the company who produced it in 2016.
The fragrance itself is a lovely aromatic, fresh spice fragrance with a deep cool feel to it. It is indeed a golden fragrance.
