Laura Biagiotti Aftershave & Men's Fragrance

Laura Biagiotti was born in Rome in 1943 and is an Italian fashion designer. Her mother was a dressmaker who created the uniforms for Alitalia, the Italian airline. Laura joined the family business and after several years she opened her own company together with who would then become her husband, Gianni Cigna. She launched her first collection for women in 1972 and it soon became a success. Her quality fabrics were popularized so that any woman could wear them. Her womenswear was comfortable but still luxurious and fashionable and it was therefore loved by everyone.

Laura Biagiotti’s success is recognized both nationally and internationally. She received the Knights of Labor award from Italy’s ex President, Oscar Luigi Scalfaro for her long career within fashion. In 1992 she received the Woman of the Year award in New York and one year later she was given the Marco Polo award in Beijin for having brought Italian collections to China in 1988. Similarly, she received an award from Mikhail Gorbachev’s granddaughter, for being the first Italian to present a collection in Russia in 1995. Her most recent awards were both given in 2011, one by the Italy-USA Foundation and one by President Napolitano.

Her first fragrance was “Fiori Bianchi”, launched in 1982. Her signature fragrance and best-seller is “Roma”. “Roma Uomo”, the fragrance for men, was introduced in 1995 and it is a woody, fresh and aromatic fragrance. The bottle is shaped like a roman temple with full columns and entablature. “Mistero di Roma Uomo” is a fresh and summer fragrance composed by notes of mandarin, grapefruit and sandalwood. “Tempore Uomo” is a woody and spicy fragrance, released in 1999.
