Cheryl Perfume & Women's Fragrance
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini
Cheryl Ann Tweedy was born in 1983 in Newcastle upon Tyne and grew up on council estates in the neighbouring districts of Walker and Heaton. She has always loved to dance and sing and even appeared in a television advert for British Gas in 1990.
Always a beautiful child she won many competitions, such as Boots Group's "bonniest baby", Mothercare's Happy Faces Portrait competition, "Best Looking Girl of Newcastle", The Evening Chronicle's "Little Miss and Mister", and "Most Attractive Girl" at the MetroCentre.
In 2002 she auditioned for the reality television show Popstars: The Rivals and earned herself a place in the new girl group Girls Aloud along with 4 other girls.
Girls Aloud’s first single "Sound of the Underground" went straight to number one and saw that Girls Aloud holds the record for the fastest time between formation of a band and reaching number one single.
Girls Aloud announced that they were taking a yearlong break in 2009, but before this they had managed to become the biggest selling girl group of the 21st century, with over 4.3 million singles sales and 4 million albums sold in the UK alone.
In 2008 Cheryl was asked to be a judge for the fifth series of The X Factor and ended up as the victorious judge when Alexandra Burke won. The year after Cheryl again was the winning judge with Joe McElderry.
Her solo singing career started in 2009; just 3 months after Girls Aloud broke up. Her debut album, 3 Words spent two weeks at number one and ended up with platinum having sold more than 900.000 albums.
Cheryl’s beauty was not missed by many men and in 2009 she was named the World's Sexiest Woman by men's magazine FHM, beating the American actress Megan Fox into second place.
In 2010 Cheryl was the face of L'Oréal joining a long line of beautiful women such as Beyoncé, Linda Evangelista and Jennifer Aniston.
In 2010 her life was yet again in the public eye, this time because her husband of 4 years (football star Ashley Cole) had been found cheating on her. She later divorced Ashley in 2010.
This saw Cheryl in a bit of a dilemma regarding her last name. She maintains that despite Ashley’s apparent wrongdoing, she was determined not to let the end of her marriage cause her any inconvenience, and so she kept the surname Cole. Cheryl kept the name Cole until she married her second husband in 2014, Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini after only a three-month courtship.
Cheryl has launched her own fragrances, her first StormFlower came in 2014. It is a bright citrus scent with top note of sparkling lemon and sweet, yet spicy bergamot which blends with the floral heart of rose, peony and sensual jasmine in bloom. Warm and inviting base notes of sensual sandalwood, white musk and indulgent vanilla complete this unforgettably sophisticated and enchanting StormFlower.
StormFlower Noir is her third fragrance and was launched in 2015. The floral heart is rich and heady with voluptuous tuberose, orange blossom and a sprinkle of rose petals. The fragrance concludes with irresistible brown sugar, addictive musk and creamy sandalwood.
The result is opulent beauty but with the understated simplicity of Cheryl’s approach to fragrance: classic, evocative and elemental.
