Escada Perfume & Women's Fragrance

Escada is a German fashion brand that was formed by husband and wife-team Margaretha and Wolfgang Ley in 1978. Margaretha Ley was originally from Sweden and in her youth she had been a modelled before turning to tailoring, working for the German brand Mondi for many years. Wolfgang was a clever businessman with a great sense of style. Starting out in Munich, their first collection quickly made an impact with bright and colourful designs and intricate patterns. They wanted their clothes to be both elegant and sporty, making sure the creations were as stylish as they were comfortable and dynamic. Escada was enormously successful in the 1980's and became a publicly traded multinational in 1986. Their bright sportswear and dresses were a perfect fit for the hairspray decade and in 1990 they took the company once step further when they launched their hugely popular perfume collection.

Escada perfumes are known for their affordability and high quality. Just like their clothes they juices are brightly coloured and focus on clear ideas and concepts. The very first Escada perfume was Margaretha Ley (1990) and it wasn't just named after but also designed by the founder herself. It's a white floral with spices and fresh fruit on a wood and vanilla base. Model and actress Miranda Kerr is the face of Joyful (2014), a fragrance that's meant to give a sense of happy carelessness with black currant, melon, mandarin, honey and sandalwood. Recently the brand has become known for their summer collections, a series youthful fresh and fruity scents, including Cherry In The Air (2013), a fan-favourite and one of the most vivid and sweet cherry fragrances you will ever smell, Born In Paradise (2014) a tropical journey with pina colada, pineapple and coconut and Agua Del Sol (2016), a refreshing summer perfume with cool pear ice cream, frozen raspberry sorbet, citrus peel and apricot.
