One of four children to Dennis Stefani and Patty Flynn, Gwen was given the role of carer within the family. Al though Gwen Renée Stefani was born on the 3rd of October in 1969 she looks at least 15 years younger, which we credit to her Italian, American, Irish, Scottish and Norwegian ancestry. Named after a stewardess from the 1968 novel Airport and the hit single “Walk Away Renée” by The Four Tops. Stefani's path to stardom paved its way when her brother hired her as a background vocalist for his ska band No Doubt. When the original lead, Spence, committed suicide she were to replace him. We've seen her performing alongside band members Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont, Adrian Young, Gabrial McNair and Stephen Bradley for 29 years (1986-2015). Her brother left the Eric left the band after a couple of years to pursue his career in animation and started working for The Simpsons.

A known fact is that Gwen has a soft spot for the Asian continent. When the tsunami hit Tōhoku she immediately donated £700,000 to the Save the Children Japan Children in Emergency fund.

Gwen launched her own clothing line in 2004, carrying the name of her first album L.A.M.B (Love, Angel, Music, Baby). Besides being a successful musician, Gwen's Hollaback Girl was the first song by a solo artist to be legally sell over a million online copies, and entrepreneur, she also creates fragrances. Having released only one fragrance under he actual name, L or L.A.M.B. (2007), all other fragrances are launched under the Harajuku Lovers brand. The Harajuku Lovers collection, another ode to the Asian culture, all focus on G, Baby, Lil' Angel, Love and Music. All perfume bottles come with an adorable dolly on top. Between 2009 and 2015, Gwen released five different collections with all the fragrances being based on the original with just an extra added flare.
