Jo Malone Perfume & Women's Fragrance

Jo Malone London was established in 1994 by former florist and scent-enthusiast Jo Malone. The brand is often described as embodying British sophistication with its simple yet effective fragrance compositions which are often a combination of only a few high quality notes. Since its opening in the 1990s the company has grown to be internationally recognised as supplier of elegant and timeless colognes, skin care and scented home ware.

Jo Malone's first direct contact with perfumery happened through her florist business in London when she created a perfumed bath-oil as gift for her customers. Overwhelmed by the success of this idea, she went on to open her first self-titled shop in Knightsbridge, London. Always inspired by natural scents and equipped with an extraordinary sense of smell, the successful business woman was soon able to expand her perfume business and opened her flagship store on Sloane Street in 1999. The same year marks the acquisition of her brand by beauty giant Estee Lauder. Working as creative director for the ever expanding company in the following years, she managed to put her name at the forefront of international perfumery. In 2008 the perfume artist was awarded the honorary title of Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her achievements in the British perfume industry. Malone finally resigned from her posts at Jo Malone London in 2006 due to a severe illness but has recently re-entered the industry with her new brand Jo Loves which was launched in 2011.

Jo Malone fragrances are crafted using only high quality ingredients by distinguished perfumers and artists such as Christine Nagel (who has created fragrances for Hermès, Catier, Dior, Armani, Dolce&Gabbana etc) and Pierre Negrin (who designed perfumes for Amouage, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Ermenegildo Zegna, Guess and Ralph Lauren). The luxury unisex fragrances are world-famous for their quality and simplicity and are advertised as catering to each wearer's individual needs. The big array of scents includes citrus, floral, fruity, spicy and woody compositions, an intense range including notes like amber, oud and patchouli as well as a yearly range of limited editions. Popular Jo Malone London Colognes include Nutmeg & Ginger(1990), Lime Basil & Mandarin(1999), the 154 Cologne(2001), Orange Blossom(2003), Pomegranate Noir(2005), Blackberry & Bay(2012), Peony & Blush Suede(2013) and Wood Sage & Sea Salt(2014). The clean notes permit the wearer to mix the different fragrances to create an individual and unique new scent. Jo Malone London coined the term 'Fragrance Combining' to describe the possibility of tailoring their scents to suit each customer's individual personality by applying different perfumes on top of each other. Jo Malone Colognes come in 30ml and 100ml bottles and are presented in the brand's signature cream-coloured box.
