Kenneth Cole Perfume & Women's Fragrance

The American fashion designer Kenneth Cole started off in the family company selling shoes but longed to make something for himself. He left the company in 1982 to start his own business and designed a collection of shoes that he showcased in New York, nearly not getting a chance to show them as he spent all his money making the shoes in European factories. His first Kenneth Cole Shoes collection was a huge success and he was able to use the success of the launch to build a company that has truly stood the test of time. Shoes still make up the main part of the brands output but they have also expanded into casual clothing, formal wear and perfume. They have almost a hundred stores open worldwide and Cole still remains the head of the company decades later, designing most of the products and making most of the business decisions.

Aside from design, Cole is also noted for his fund-raising and awareness work. He was one of the first in the fashion industry to openly speak about AIDS in the mid 80's when the subject was still taboo in most media and continues to contribute to campaigns about the disease to this day. He has also worked to end the use of fur in fashion.

The very first Kenneth Cole perfume was launched in 2002, simply entitled Kenneth Cole for Women. It was a oriental scent with berries, fruit and hints of spices in a unique multi-layered bottle. Cole has since followed the perfume up with scents like fruity Kenneth Cole Reaction For Her with melon, mandarin, grapefruit and apple as well as Black for Women (2014) for the brands jubilee.
