Rihanna Perfume & Women's Fragrance

Rihanna (real name Robyn Rihanna Fenty) was born in 1988. She was born into a troubled family and was the oldest of three children. She formed a girl group with two of her friends and was discovered by the American music producer Evan Rodgers. It was clear that Rihanna was something special and at only 16 years old she decided to move the US to pursue a career in music.

Her debut album was a massive success thanks to lead singles "S.O.S" and "Pon de Replay" and ever since then she has been a mainstay on charts all over the world. Rihanna has a knack for writing chart topping tunes (“Umbrella”, “Diamonds”, “Work” and the list goes on) and she has worked with a whole array of superstars such as Beyonce, Drake, Eminem and Jay Z. She was one of the best-selling artists of all time with sales of over 200 million records worldwide. She has won numerous awards including eight Grammy Awards; eight American Music Awards; 23 Billboard Music Awards; two BRIT Awards and counting. Rihanna or RiRi as she's been nicknamed launched her first fragrance back in 2010 called Reb'l Fleur. A fragrance that appeals to both the good and bad sides of her personality, a daring, sexy and truly memorable scent with notes of fresh ripe fruits, sumptuous florals and a musky mix of vanilla, patchouli and amber. The shape of the bottle was inspired by the shape of a stiletto heel as Rihanna has a love for these. She also used this shape of bottle for three other fragrances; Nude (2012), Rebelle (2012) and the special edition 777 Nude Diamonds (2013).

Rihanna loves creating fragrances and has said that she sees it them like songs; each one tells a different story. The fourth Rihanna perfume, Rogue (2013), had a different design than her first three fragrances; she wanted to reflect who she was at this time in her life, saying: “It's a personal fragrance that's more self-aware. It's Rogue, it's me”. Rogue Love followed in 2014 and is inspired by the feeling of falling in love. The delicious mix of mandarin, berry and peach mingles with the rich notes of jasmine, honeysuckle, coconut and orchid which blends perfectly into the powerful, lingering notes of creamy woods, amber, caramel and vanilla.

The sixth Rihanna fragrance for women is called RiRi (2015) and is a crisp floral scent. According to Rihanna herself the fragrance that it is really playful, very fun, very feminine, very girly and flirty and the launch campaign reflected this with a now iconic photo of Rihanna all dolled up, surrounded by pink fur.

In 2014 Rihanna was part of MAC Viva Glam campaign, which benefits women, men, and children living with HIV/AIDS. For this she launched her own RiRi Woo Viva Glam lipstick with the proceeds going to victims of the disease. She has also served as a spokeswoman for MAC Cosmetics and created clothes collections for River Island, Giorgio Armani and Puma.
